1. First Afro Asian Games in 2003 in Hyderabad, India
2. Organizing the Pune International Marathon for the last 23 years
3. Eight Permit meets in Athletics, Delhi (9189-1998)
4. Organizer of the Freedom Forty Run in 1986. The programme got a thumping response at the Jawaharlal Nehru Birth Centenary celebrations
5. Successfully launched the Asian Grand Prix Athletic meet in 1990 which are conducted every year. At the Youth Games India topped the Medal Tally with 76 Medals including 33 gold
6. As IOA President, organized National Games at Pune, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Hydrabad, Manipur, Gauhati and over 1000 crores work of Olympic infrastructure in the county
7. As IOA President, got the country the 1st ever gold medal in individual event at the Beijing Olympic 2008.
8. Organizer of the World Half Marathon in 2004 at Delhi
9. Successful organization of the III Commonwealth Youth Games 2008 at Pune
10. Leading the committee for bidding for the XIX Commonwealth Games and successfully winning the same for Delhi as host city of Commonwealth Games 2010
